Dr. Michael Matthew is an independent  educational leadership coach and attitudinal researcher. He earned his Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Argosy University, School Administration and Supervision Certificate from Johns Hopkins University, and Masters of Science in Education and Dual Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Anthropology from Central Connecticut State University. His current book entitled, “Attitudes of Teachers toward Professional Development: San Juan, Puerto Rico, Public School District II,” explores the significant differences in attitudes toward professional development in public schools; and he is a contributing author of “Big Pharma, Bad Karma: America’s New Medicine for Wellness,” which endorses a critical analysis of today’s super-powered medical industry and the necessity of transforming attitudes for self-empowerment. In addition, he has published and presented research on the effectiveness of the International Baccalaureate Programme in private Islamic schools in the United States; and, has conducted podcasts on the science of learning.

 

Dr. Matthew held positions as a General Education Academic Chair for Brown Mackie College Miami, FL; Director of Admissions for Kaplan University, Fort Lauderdale, FL; Bilingual School Director for the Department of Education of Puerto Rico; and, Director of the Tajweed Institute for Al-Huda School, College Park, MD. His civic involvement includes serving as a Cultural Arts Commissioner for the City of Rockville, MD; Executive Board Member for Logic Central Online; Executive Board Member for Emerge USA; and Assistant Director of the American Muslim Democratic Caucus, Orlando Chapter.  He has also worked as an educational coach, lecturer, and consultant for a number of educational organizations.

 

Dr. Matthew’s philosophical mission is to promote global mindedness by facilitating key leadership attributes for the benefit of peace and respect for the world’s diversity.
